Is the GL1800 sound/voice connectors the same as the Venture?

I have a chance to buy some helmets and cords for a gl1800. Are they the same? And if they are different is there an adapter that will make it fit?

If they are 5 pin connectors they should work. I bought J&M headsets for a Gold Wing and they work on my RSV. Make sure they're 5 pin.-Jack

it's my understanding that j&m is the oem of audio systems for most of the manufactures except bmw.

99 % sure they are the same.

I may be wrong, but my understanding was J&M went to a six pin system on the 1800's. Check with Sierra Electronics to be sure.

I looked at a GL1800's audio connection about a week ago and it was the 5 pin setup just like the RSV.

I had a set for my GL1800. When I sold the Wing, I kept the headsets and cords and use them on my RSV. They are EXACTLY the same!
