wizard Posted August 14, 2010 #1 Posted August 14, 2010 Anyone here read the story that Zimmerman, the mechanic, in Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine, had about the Harley Davidson corporate executives? Makes them sound like incompetent and corrupt are their bylaws.
Condor Posted August 14, 2010 #2 Posted August 14, 2010 I tried to find it by googling, but couldn't. So... Nope... didn't read it.
abnormalwon Posted August 14, 2010 #3 Posted August 14, 2010 I read Marks stuff regularly and have found him to be one of the most enjoyable writers in the biz. Always to the point, accurate, understandable and (the best part) fun to read. I did see that particular article and happen to agree, no clue what Harley was thinking (or not) when they made that decision however I believe thay really did shoot themselves in the foot so to speak and will regret that day in the future (near I hope). Though I have never owned or spent time on a Buell, I did look pretty close at the Ullyses and was impressed. I have always enjoyed Eric's take on building a motorcycle and hope he is able to get back at what he does best very soon.
uechi kid Posted August 19, 2010 #4 Posted August 19, 2010 Do you have a link or know what issue it's in?

abnormalwon Posted August 19, 2010 #6 Posted August 19, 2010 Don't have a link however I do have the article sitting in front of me as I type. It is in the October 2010 issue (and I got it in August) anyway, its on page 46 under Shop Talk and titled ; Dumb is as Dumb Does. Good read.
1BigDog Posted August 19, 2010 #7 Posted August 19, 2010 I believe I read it somewhere in RoadBike magazine several months ago.
