Hummingbird Posted August 13, 2010 #1 Posted August 13, 2010 I guess I said it all in the title - I hate scrolling sideways - is there a way I can size the window?
Freebird Posted August 13, 2010 #2 Posted August 13, 2010 You shouldn't have to scroll unless you have your screen resolution set very large. The site it designed to be viewed best at 1024 x 768.
Owen Posted August 13, 2010 #3 Posted August 13, 2010 Do you have a browser option set to 'never display fonts small than...'. That can cause the mentioned problem.
bryan52577 Posted August 13, 2010 #4 Posted August 13, 2010 Hold "Control" / Ctrl and scroll with the wheel on the mouse till the page fits. Bryan
Hummingbird Posted August 13, 2010 Author #5 Posted August 13, 2010 probably should have mentioned that it's my laptop that's driving me crazy - everything fits great on other 2 monitors -
Freebird Posted August 13, 2010 #6 Posted August 13, 2010 All I use is a laptop. The site was designed and built on my laptop and I don't have to scroll. What is your screen resolution set on?
painterman67 Posted August 13, 2010 #7 Posted August 13, 2010 freebird, I too get this, but only on a rare ocasion. David
SilvrT Posted August 13, 2010 #8 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Hold "Control" / Ctrl and scroll with the wheel on the mouse till the page fits. Bryan The above method works in other programs too such as MS Word or Excel you can also use Ctrl + or Ctrl - but it doesn't work that way in all other progs. Edited August 13, 2010 by SilvrT
Hummingbird Posted August 13, 2010 Author #9 Posted August 13, 2010 Got it - control - and adjust resolution gonna be fun not having to run back and forth between computers Thanks - All of youse guys !!
Monty Posted August 14, 2010 #10 Posted August 14, 2010 Hold "Control" / Ctrl and scroll with the wheel on the mouse till the page fits. Bryan Geez!! And I thought I knew most everything about computers....way too cool!!
BradT Posted August 14, 2010 #11 Posted August 14, 2010 you can also use Ctrl + or Ctrl - but it doesn't work that way in all other progs. Geez!! And I thought I knew most everything about computers....way too cool!! Never knew that and it works to easy. Problem is that I never change the resolution so I will never remember how to do this. Brad
SilvrT Posted August 14, 2010 #12 Posted August 14, 2010 Geez!! And I thought I knew most everything about computers....way too cool!! heh.. Monty, I been working professionally with computers since 1987 - 23 years ... and it never fails... just when ya think ya know "most everything", it all changes and then ya have to learn a bunch more ... (thank you Mr Gates! LOL) I've just upgraded our Windows 2003 servers to new ones with server 2008 .... there's similarities but so many differences and new things!! Next month we're upgrading/replacing 7 of our workstations to Windows 7 & Office 2010 .... ggrrrrrrrrrrrr ... more chit to learn! and inevitably, more incompatibilities to be discovered.
