FuzzyRSTD Posted August 10, 2010 #1 Posted August 10, 2010 I was just wondering how many of these wonderful bikes you fine people may have owned in all these years. Just to start, I have owned and still do..ONE. But would like to have a garge full of them :mo money:but..... Sqidley says he has owned 8.. That might be a record. Nothing against other bikes, I was just wondering about the Venture and Tour Deluxe. Thanks....
YamaDuck Posted August 10, 2010 #2 Posted August 10, 2010 I have two in the stables. A 2000MM and a 2001 Green Venture.
Squidley Posted August 10, 2010 #3 Posted August 10, 2010 Gory Details 1st Venture was an '84 Blonde bought in '04 Then an '86 Brown Then a '99 Silver Then another '99 Silver Then an '86 Urish Black Then an '08 Charcoal Silver Then an '89 Blue and now a '99 in pieces I would guess that I have well over 100K on all the bikes combined.

RSTDdog Posted August 10, 2010 #6 Posted August 10, 2010 Currently a 2006 RSTD Midnight. Felt great from the first time I rode it. I was between this and an FJR1300 (didn't like the on/off FI) while looking for bikes after a Ten year hiatus from riding with the exception of two fix, ride and sell projects in the interim: 81 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim and 82 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk. Neither of these quite cut it after selling my 1992 ST1100 ABS TCS (in Candy Glory Red, one of Honda's Best Colors) that I owned for 5 years. If I were to get a second bike it would be another ST1100. Before that I put a bunch of miles on a 78 Yamaha XS750 Special (The Triple) Anyone see the constant??? I learned wrenching and riding on 1974 CL450 Honda and had two of those in Sapphire Blue at one time and also had KZ400LTD. I know its more than you asked for but it got me to thinking about past rides... RSTDdog
Sleeperhawk Posted August 10, 2010 #7 Posted August 10, 2010 I've had two, an 05 that we put 60,000 miles on, currently an 08, with about 44,000
Sylvester Posted August 10, 2010 #9 Posted August 10, 2010 I have only had one, an 02 Midnight Venture with 131,000 mile now. Never needed another since this one is perfect.
heartofdixie Posted August 10, 2010 #10 Posted August 10, 2010 I've owned a '08 charcoal/silver RSTD and now I own a '08 charcoal RSV. Although, with my compulsions to by stuff for the motorcycle, I think it owns me.
Squidley Posted August 10, 2010 #11 Posted August 10, 2010 Although, with my compulsions to by stuff for the motorcycle, I think it owns me. Welcome to that club....you have been assimilated
Condor Posted August 10, 2010 #12 Posted August 10, 2010 8 Total. 2/83's, 1/83_84, 1/87, 1/90, 1/91, 1/93, 1/99, plus 1/88 and 1/91 spare motors. That adds up to a lotta spark plugs, and tires....

Hummingbird Posted August 10, 2010 #14 Posted August 10, 2010 This is my first Venture, it's supposed to be a Midnight Venture but I prefer the 10 o'clock version I have

KiteSquid Posted August 10, 2010 #16 Posted August 10, 2010 I'm still on my first...... I'm waiting for the 3rd gen......
TARHEEL RIDER Posted August 10, 2010 #17 Posted August 10, 2010 I"ve had two..............a 1997 1st gen Royal Star and now a 2009 Venture S. No comparison between the two, but love them both.
Bummer Posted August 10, 2010 #18 Posted August 10, 2010 In '90 I bought an '85 with just under 5k miles on it. I put 162k miles on it. It needs massive plastic, and fairing struts, or turned into a nekkid bike. Power package is still ok. In May of 2005 I bought a new Midnight. An uninvited visitor from the very south picked it out from under me with just under 10k miles on it. It was totaled, though I wasn't. (Almost but not quite.) In March of 2006 I bought a new RSV. (Ordered from a rented hospital bed in 11/05.) I didn't really get to ride it (800 miles) until the Fall due to a bone graft. It now has almost 45k miles on it.
tbbrider Posted August 10, 2010 #19 Posted August 10, 2010 I am on my 3th one.07 blue,08 black cherry & black, sold them now riding a blue and black 07 hannigan trike.I think this will be the last one.A trike is so much better riding than on 2 wheels.
Motorcycle Mike Posted August 10, 2010 #20 Posted August 10, 2010 This is my first RSV, infact it's my first Yamaha since the 70's. Previous Yamaha's were an RD350, XS650 and a YZ400. Wish I still had the 650. There's been quite a few Honda's and a Norton in between. I've loved everyone of them.
Art708 Posted August 10, 2010 #21 Posted August 10, 2010 I have owned an '07 RSTD and an 09 RSV.....don't have either now.
6pak Posted August 10, 2010 #22 Posted August 10, 2010 I've had 2. Both '89's. Painted one then donated it to be raffled of by the east tennessee DAV. The second one is red or maroon? Anyways, am building the bank acct to upgrade in the spring. Think I want a vtwin. Whatever it is will be paying cash. By the way, the red 89 will be for sale around christmas.
