Ugly Air intakes

I know I can purchase a billet cover for the ugly Air Intake, but I thin I saw someone use 5 inch car air intake before. I have looked and cant find. Or maybe somthing diffrent to get rid of that ugly black box.

One of our members in Ohio, Moped, fabricated a set of intakes from some old 80's GM truck mirrors. I'll tell you what they look VERY cool, others have done similar to what you have mentioned, but I can't remember who it was now

Hmm wondering if you could even use K&M Chubbies.. fully exposed filters, mind you but interesting all the same.. lol..

I am seriously considering doing this on my '99, but the carbs will have to be rejetted. I also want to look into aftermarket exhausts from the heads out, the stock ones are a bit small and if you can open them up a bit it will breathe easier....just one of the million things rolling around in me noggin
