saltcreep Posted August 6, 2010 #1 Posted August 6, 2010 My speedo has started acting realy jumpy as slower speeds, it is fine when I get going good, but it bugs me. Do I need to grease or oil something?

Do I need to grease or oil something? I think you do. You need to remove the speedo and put some grease around the bearing on the inside on the sleeve the cable goes into on the inside of the speedo. Just putting grease in the cable hole will not help as the hole does not go all the way thru. I would also check the overall condition of the cable and drive gear at the front axle. RandyA
skydoc_17 Posted August 7, 2010 #3 Posted August 7, 2010 Hey Brandon, Down by the front wheel, left side is the connector for the speedo cable, unscrew the cable connector and try putting some grease on the speedo cable. If the noise is closer to the dash, that is going to require the removal of the windshield and dash and the lubing of the bushing in the gage cluster. Earl
