Mk2 rear hub interchange

While doing the vmax rear swap I noticed my wheel hub's teeth are about 1/3 worn off.

 

Plenty of Mk1 wheels on Flebay. Will a good hub from one of these fit a Mk2? What about Vmax or 2nd gens?

 

Inquiring minds want to know.

While I was in the process of rebuilding my bike this winter I was having some problems with the FJR/Vmax rear end I was installing. One of the things I tried was installing an MKII rear wheel on it. It fit fine. Did not cure the problem which was later resolved, but it was interchangeable with the MKI wheel I end up using.

Hey Grisolm,

The MKI and MKII VR Rims are interchangable at 16 inches, the VMAX rear wheel is a 15" rim and also uses a wider tire that will not fit the MKII VR.
