Sideoftheroad Posted July 31, 2010 #1 Posted July 31, 2010 Anyone who hasn't done this, I highly recommend it. I recently had it done and had the real test during STAR Days (going to it, during it and coming home). Overall guessing did 1500+ miles in a 5 day period. I had just a little tiny bit of that butt burn feeling but certainly not enough to make it uncomfortable in the least. Best $40 I have ever spent.
mrich12000 Posted July 31, 2010 #2 Posted July 31, 2010 Well thats nice. But pictures would be nice!! a further explanation could enlighten us more into this nice Seating endeavor.
KeithR Posted July 31, 2010 #3 Posted July 31, 2010 Have a look in the classifieds for the Butler seat mod for pic's and info. Keith www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=1023&title=butt-butler-seat-mod&cat=7
99silver Posted July 31, 2010 #5 Posted July 31, 2010 I had Rick do both of the seats on my bike. Money well spent. My wife has not spent much time on the back but my seat was a great improvement.
Celt Posted July 31, 2010 #7 Posted July 31, 2010 Its a bit on the expensive side for postage down to Rick(i was quoted $70 from ups,no idea about the return price) from Canada,if you live near the border and have a PO box to have it shipped back to (which i do , it cost me $40 US return by ups)that would be the way to go. havent spent many long hours in the saddle since i had it done ,but i did do a long poker run (8hrs ish) and didnt have any pain problems. total for me was around $100 Can and well worth it. thanks Rick
rlyons Posted July 31, 2010 #8 Posted July 31, 2010 Stopped in and had him do mine this summer while on a trip. He had it ready in about an hour and it was for sure money well spent. I would reccomend it to anyone.
Sideoftheroad Posted August 3, 2010 Author #9 Posted August 3, 2010 total for me was around $100 Sounds about right from others I have spoke with that had it shipped round trip and including cost to have it done.
