Roadhand Posted July 29, 2010 #1 Posted July 29, 2010 My Zumo 660 (I believe) just decided to stop providing verbal directions. I have taken it out and placed it in the auto cradle and it still won't talk. Everything else seems to work OK. Anyone had an issue like this? If so, how did you fix it?
naturbar Posted July 29, 2010 #2 Posted July 29, 2010 "She quit talking to me "............ usually a dozen roses, a nice meal with expensive wine and a sincere apology does it for me
Roadhand Posted July 29, 2010 Author #3 Posted July 29, 2010 This is a 550 now that I think about it.
Hummingbird Posted July 29, 2010 #4 Posted July 29, 2010 My 550 did that once, I took her out and spanked her little bottom, pulled her battery, re-installed the battery and she be behaved just fine

If so, how did you fix it? it would appear that many have had similar "issues" ..... but not with a Zumo ... then again, "Zumo" could be used in a number of ways... :rotf:
SilvrT Posted July 29, 2010 #12 Posted July 29, 2010 Any comments I could possibly offer would just get me into more trouble then I would ever need or want. I think I shoulda thought that and kept my trap shut
Hummingbird Posted July 29, 2010 #13 Posted July 29, 2010 RoadHand - did you get it to work yet. It really does sound like it needs to reboot. removing the battery might just do it.
jer878 Posted July 29, 2010 #14 Posted July 29, 2010 I've had that same issue with a couple of models of Garmin. I think it somehow changed the language to none so it couldn't speak. Look for something like that in the menu. Jim

Roadhand Posted July 30, 2010 Author #20 Posted July 30, 2010 Very interesting replys She (Anne Marie) since you all seem to go there, as made up with me. She started telling me where to go again. The last word (what else would you expect) was "bare left". mmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if she is referring to politics?
Marcarl Posted July 30, 2010 #21 Posted July 30, 2010 Has she said back up and get out of here? yet? If not, you're still alright!
