We rode from Frisco through the I70 tunnel to US 40 and on through Rocky Mountain National Park today. It was a mostly overcast day. There was some paving going on in the park which delayed us about 30 minutes and we had to ride on hard packed dirt and gravel for a few miles. Wasn't a big deal. At the west park entrance we saw a group of people staring into the woods so we did too and saw a huge moose. We made it to Estes Park without getting wet.

We're using two cameras. Most of them are shot from the back of the bike by with a Canon SD870IS (8 megapixel) and when we stop I pull out the SLR which is a Canon 5D Mark II (21 megapixel). But viewing the images on the web I can't tell much difference.

Dennis, quite a ride...

for those thinking about this ride. An alternate route is US 6 over the peaks instead of I-70 thru the tunnel, another spectacular view.
