Midrsv Posted July 28, 2010 #1 Posted July 28, 2010 We rode from Frisco through the I70 tunnel to US 40 and on through Rocky Mountain National Park today. It was a mostly overcast day. There was some paving going on in the park which delayed us about 30 minutes and we had to ride on hard packed dirt and gravel for a few miles. Wasn't a big deal. At the west park entrance we saw a group of people staring into the woods so we did too and saw a huge moose. We made it to Estes Park without getting wet. Photos are here: www.traynorphoto.com/day10 SPOT track: http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=6473 We're headed to Hill City SD tomorrow. Dennis

Midrsv Posted July 28, 2010 Author #3 Posted July 28, 2010 Those are some great pictures!! The sharpness of them are great I dont know what kind of camera you are using but its taking great pictures! We're using two cameras. Most of them are shot from the back of the bike by with a Canon SD870IS (8 megapixel) and when we stop I pull out the SLR which is a Canon 5D Mark II (21 megapixel). But viewing the images on the web I can't tell much difference. Dennis
jlh3rd Posted July 28, 2010 #4 Posted July 28, 2010 it's that clear ,clean, crisp mountain air that helps get those great pics.....

RandyR Posted July 28, 2010 #6 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) Dennis, quite a ride... for those thinking about this ride. An alternate route is US 6 over the peaks instead of I-70 thru the tunnel, another spectacular view. Edited July 28, 2010 by RandyR
