Nope... this is not about Yamaha..

Many years ago I bought a set of tools from Canadian Tire. They have a line of tools called Mastercraft that come with a lifetime warranty similar to Sear's Craftsman. I particularly like this set because it came in a plastic case with places for all the pieces. (and I got it on sale at 1/2 price)

So about 4 years ago I lost an adapter inside the fender of a car at a wreckers. I went to Canadian Tire and asked to purchase a replacement. They ordered it and a few days later called me to tell me it was in. When I went to get it they just handed it to me and said "have a nice day" --- no charge.. I was flabbergasted... This was NOT broken this was LOST.. no fault of theirs.. I was totally prepared to buy a new piece to fill the hole in the case. Anyhow I thought someone made a mistake but didn't argue.

Fast forward to last week. At some point this case popped open in our old van (kids had borrowed the van) and 4 pieces went missing. Last week I was using the tools and was bugged by the empty places to wandered over to Canadian Tire to order those tools. Got a call on Friday that the parts were in. Went on Sunday to get them...

They handed me a baggie with the four tools in it... "have a nice day"

Now I expect them to replace a socket or ratchet that brakes.. After all it is a lifetime warranty. I DO NOT expect them to replace something I LOST.. but they did both times..

I'M IMPRESSED!!!

Very cheap advertisement for them. See you are telling everybody already for them. But it is a great warranty!:dancefool:

:soapbox:I have Mastercraft tools, When one breaks no matter the age the warranty is there. So good is the Quality of tools I have them in and beside my Snap- on tools(try finding a dealer("//

The pro series is:Venture: the best..:mugshot:

Rubbermaid is the same way. My first experience with them was after I bought a large fishing tackle box out of the West Marine bargain bin for $5.00 Bucks because it had a broken handle and tabs. So I wrote down the part numbers and called Rubbermaid to buy the parts and fix the box. They didn't have the parts so they sent me a brand new replacement box. No Charge. I then pop-riveted the outer tabs shut and installed a rope handle. I still have both boxes. The second time I bought a bunch of marine/boating equipment from a guy. The misc. stuff came in a Rubbermaid chest. The body of the chest was great but the top was toast. Called RubberMade again. They didn't have the part and no longer made the chest. They sent me a check for the retail cost of the chest.... I never turn down anything made by Rubbermaid.... They've got a lifetime customer... :thumbsup2:

I buy Mastercraft because they have some dam good sales. Sometimes I buy just because it is on sale as I know someday I am going to need it.

Never broke any so no need to see how there warranty is. Have heard they stand behind them and the tools are pretty good. I like their professional series

Next time try the Canadian Tire in Brantford,,,,, but have some time on your hands, for you'll argue all day,, and then walk away empty handed.
