PastorPaul Posted July 24, 2010 #1 Posted July 24, 2010 OK whats the trick to getting the bottom radiator hose loose on a 2002 RSV. There is no room to get my fat hand in to work on it.
Guest tx2sturgis Posted July 24, 2010 #2 Posted July 24, 2010 Are you just draining the coolant? If so, unscrew the hex bolt drain plug. I cant remember the size exactly, something like 12mm, or close to it.
Squidley Posted July 24, 2010 #3 Posted July 24, 2010 Rad has to be loose as if memory serves me correctly it's a tight fit with the hose at a dead short 90 degree angle......and a lot of patience
Cougar Posted July 24, 2010 #4 Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) Here is how I did it (3 TIMES) http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21075 Also , when you go to put the new or old rad back in put a tad of Vaseline in the hoses to make them slip back on a bit easier Jeff Edited July 24, 2010 by Cougar
