OK whats the trick?????

OK whats the trick to getting the bottom radiator hose loose on a 2002 RSV. There is no room to get my fat hand in to work on it.

Are you just draining the coolant? If so, unscrew the hex bolt drain plug. I cant remember the size exactly, something like 12mm, or close to it.

Rad has to be loose as if memory serves me correctly it's a tight fit with the hose at a dead short 90 degree angle......and a lot of patience

Also , when you go to put the new or old rad back in

put a tad of Vaseline in the hoses to make them slip

back on a bit easier
