FreezyRider Posted July 23, 2010 #2 Posted July 23, 2010 My best friend and riding buddy owns one, a 2004. Has around 45,000 miles on it. I've ridden it several times.....awesome power and handles pretty good for a big ol cruiser. But I sure wouldn't want to spend all day on it, although he does. If you are a tall or long-legged person, it will fit you really well. Joe
uechi kid Posted July 23, 2010 #3 Posted July 23, 2010 Before I bought the Venture I was going to pick up a good used V2K and make a bagger out of it. But I came across the Venture at a price I couldn't pass up so as they say "the rest is history". Grindo Posted July 23, 2010 #4 Posted July 23, 2010 From everything I've heard they're a nice bike but its too big for me. I can't reach the handlebars without stretching forward. I'm 5'9" and have trouble. You either have to be a big dude or do some major pullbacks. I didn't want a bike I had to modify to ride. This of course said after I completely redid my roadstar this winter.
pegscraper Posted July 24, 2010 #5 Posted July 24, 2010 I rode freezyrider's friend's Vulcan 2000 once briefly. It did seem to have plenty of energy to it, and I expect it should when it has more displacement per cylinder than the engine in my '68 Cadillac. I would also say that one needs to be a pretty tall guy to feel comfortable on the thing.
uechi kid Posted July 24, 2010 #6 Posted July 24, 2010 Here is a thread at the Kawasaki forum about the V2K. http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/kawasaki-cruisers/130415-still-happy-your-v2k.html
