My best friend and riding buddy owns one, a 2004. Has around 45,000 miles on it. I've ridden it several times.....awesome power and handles pretty good for a big ol cruiser. But I sure wouldn't want to spend all day on it, although he does.

If you are a tall or long-legged person, it will fit you really well.

From everything I've heard they're a nice bike but its too big for me. I can't reach the handlebars without stretching forward. I'm 5'9" and have trouble. You either have to be a big dude or do some major pullbacks. I didn't want a bike I had to modify to ride. This of course said after I completely redid my roadstar this winter.

I rode freezyrider's friend's Vulcan 2000 once briefly. It did seem to have plenty of energy to it, and I expect it should when it has more displacement per cylinder than the engine in my '68 Cadillac. I would also say that one needs to be a pretty tall guy to feel comfortable on the thing.
