Police say 18-year-old Dillon Reed was driving eastbound on County Road 380, east of 39 ½ Street in Bloomingdale. Police say a large turkey buzzard flew across Reed’s path and hit him in the chest. The impact caused him to lose control of his motorcycle. Reed went off the road and struck several trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Reed was not believed to be speeding and was wearing a helmet. Alcohol is not a factor in this crash.
Squidley Posted July 20, 2010 #2 Posted July 20, 2010 Bummer way to go, so young.... all the best to his family
Hummingbird Posted July 20, 2010 #3 Posted July 20, 2010 That's a horrible way to go and it just verifies that fact that as a biker, we are subject to so many variables that it would be impossible to forsee and evade all of them. All my best to his family
