Guest ReinyRooster Posted October 25, 2007 #5 Posted October 25, 2007 Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip!!! Fresh bacon!!

brscooter Posted October 25, 2007 #8 Posted October 25, 2007 In Louisiana it would be a "couchon-de-lait". Roast pig. Down here they eat the feet & lips and make hog head cheese out of the head.
KiteSquid Posted October 25, 2007 #9 Posted October 25, 2007 BBG HOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PIG PICKIN!!!! WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!! Light the coals!!!!!

1BigDog Posted October 25, 2007 #13 Posted October 25, 2007 Hey Thom, just keep it and call it "Harley".........
Guest Ken8143 Posted October 25, 2007 #14 Posted October 25, 2007 I've dressed hogs the old-timey way - outdoor vat to scald them and all. Ain't too hard. Those short ribs, bacon and ham are sure good to say nothing of the loins... never got into the lips of a hog. Sounds grusome to me. - Ken
Keitho Posted October 25, 2007 #16 Posted October 25, 2007 Hey Thom, just keep it and call it "Harley"......... Then shoot it.................... K.
KiteSquid Posted October 26, 2007 #17 Posted October 26, 2007 Then roast him slow.... so all the oil runs out....
T.J. Posted October 26, 2007 #18 Posted October 26, 2007 I don't think it walked up right with a little jacket and bow tie Yama Mama. it Wasn't This Pig Was It!
Guest JGorom Posted October 26, 2007 #19 Posted October 26, 2007 Well if my thinker is working correctly today...I'd say the score was 12 for Pig Roast...0 for free willy! It's your call Thom!
Ol Erns Posted October 26, 2007 #20 Posted October 26, 2007 Thom if your serious about keeping it, check the yellow pages and see if there is a nearby locker plant or meat market, maybe even some farmer in the area that might raise a few. They should be able to tell you whether they can help you out, even come and get it and for pennies on the dollar vs. the grocery store, you get back a bunch of nicely wrapped white packages marked bacon, ribs, chops, ham, bacon, ribs, chops, ham. Ummm Ummm good!! Erns
