Maritimer Posted July 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 16, 2010 I have one mounted on the right side where the stock horn was but I always wanted to put one in the fairing as well. Is there a good tutorial and pictures on how to do this and still keep my existing stebel on the right? Thanks
Bummer Posted July 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 16, 2010 There's info on installing a pair of Fiamm extra loud electrics inside the fairing here, but I've never seen a Stebel there. The Fiamm info is about two thirds of the way down the page. They are pretty loud at around 130 dB, and work well mounted inside the fairing. I've seen these horns sold at Pep Boys and Autozone. Carbon_One Posted July 16, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 16, 2010 I've got one electric Magnum horn under the fairing and another under the lower left cowling where the other stock horn mounted. All I did was tie in with the Stebel air horn with new 14 gauge wire from the Stebel horn relay. You do lose a bit of volume being under cover but they're still plenty loud. Flyinfool Posted July 16, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 16, 2010 It does not mater where they are located for the wiring, just hook the second horn up in parallel with the first off of the relay. Make sure that all of the wiring and fuse can handle the amps for 2 horns.

kj5ix Posted July 19, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 19, 2010 I took out a pair of air horns that was under the faring, and planning to go back with a Sable....
