oldgoat Posted July 13, 2010 #1 Posted July 13, 2010 just want to say bike is finaly home. but due to my helath right now and cleaning up after my aunt and getting her settled in the home. i cant ride it:crying: Dianne has the keys. we treated it with seafoam damn that stuff it getting expensive almost 9 bucks a can. but worth it. the exhaust has been fixed thanks to you members and your donations. all the brakes are done. Dianne said i can go and clean it LOL. looks like end of month she,s getting a 2005 v star ? 650? i hope i got that right? mechanic said the bike runs darn good. but next spring might want to consider carb work?? not sure what he meant by that? got a friend whos son is takeing auto body. he,s checking to see if this winter he can take all my plastic in for a paint job. i just pay cost of paint and school shop cost. looks like some things are comming around for me? so latter im going to be asking how to pull the fairings and stuff LOL once again thanks to all of you im keeping the dream alive.
Squidley Posted July 13, 2010 #2 Posted July 13, 2010 James, Good to hear things are rolling towards the good side. It will get better and a big thank you is appropriate for Dianne...she's a keeper
Yama Mama Posted July 14, 2010 #3 Posted July 14, 2010 We are glad you are home! Do not rush things, and do what the doctor says. Yama Mama:ice_awesome-vi46644
Yammer Dan Posted July 14, 2010 #4 Posted July 14, 2010 When you shut it down for winter make sure you got some Sea-Foam or Sta-Built in it and you can delay that carb work.
Aussie Annie Posted July 14, 2010 #5 Posted July 14, 2010 James, glad to hear things are going your way:thumbsup2: And give our thanks to Dianne too
goatkeeper Posted July 14, 2010 #6 Posted July 14, 2010 thanks annie James is a handfull. he didnt call me to tell me about his aunt. didnt want me to not have fun on my trip to see old family i guess? i hooked up with his daughter Amber up in minnesota. she took us to Mall of america. whew that place is huge. i am now an offical sister to her LOL where same age about 3 months apart thats why James is like a dad to me. now he has to many women telling him to behave LOL i do so dearly want him to ride again. when he had the maxim and I the ninja we went places together. even though he so badly wanted the venture up and running at that time he still got out for the wind in his face. on the maxim. i know we will ride again even if its next spring. maybe this fall? now im off to bed long trip home and getting James venture put away.
