starkruzen Posted July 8, 2010 #1 Posted July 8, 2010 Now that I have been adding accesories to my 07 RSTD, the battery post are clogged with wires I attached. Is there a better way? Perhaps some kind of terminal block I could install. As always, you suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mark:bowdown:
silent67 Posted July 8, 2010 #2 Posted July 8, 2010 Yep, add a terminal block. You can find them at most auto parts shops.
Snaggletooth Posted July 9, 2010 #3 Posted July 9, 2010 And when I comes time for a new battery..........get the DEKA AGM. It has an extra set of bolts to the side and below the main terminal bolt where you can tie in the extra stuff without cluttering the top post. Helped clean mine up.
KiteSquid Posted July 9, 2010 #4 Posted July 9, 2010 never add wires to the battery. Always add wires to the end of the cable where the alternator and battery meet. Always use fuses. You might what to add a fuse block instead of a terminal block.
uechi kid Posted July 9, 2010 #6 Posted July 9, 2010 Here's one, but it's expensive. I like it because it's small and it has a ground block built in. http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Products/Fuseboxes/PC-8/pc-8.html
Squidley Posted July 9, 2010 #7 Posted July 9, 2010 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29737&highlight=Fuse+Block Here is a thread with some ideas post 13 is mine and is what I have used on all my RSV's. It's a buss 6 position and can be bought at any autopart store.

ctraylor Posted July 10, 2010 #9 Posted July 10, 2010 I put all the wires into one eye and soldiered and only have one eye to attach to the battery.
