Charlene and I went for a day out today, packed a picnic lunch and went to FDR State Park, in Pine Mtn.,Ga. The weather was beautiful and the roads were very uncluttered. We picniced on Dowdell Knob, which is where FDR used to love to picnic, it was his favorite spot in the park. The view was beautiful and there were only a few people there. We took a few pics of the area and went on our way riding around the park, we came across a strange building on a side road, but we couldnt tell if it was a private residence or old church, it had an iron 7 foot tall spiked fence around it and had peacocks all over the place. We really couldnt tell what it was used for. After leaving there we headed back to Newnan for some desert at the local DQ.............then disaster struck...:crying:................DQ was closed........we were devastated,:shock3: we were talking about it all the way back and it just ended our perfect day not so perfectly.:confused24:................

The only down side to the trip was that we did it in a 4 wheeled vehcile and not on the bike........but it still was great to get Charlene out to do something with all she has been through, many more of these types of weekends to come..................
