Guest Nevada Max Posted June 28, 2010 #1 Posted June 28, 2010 I am thinking of the Boostaroo Amplifier for the ipod. Anyone try it? Pro and Cons. Thanks in advance Max
hillrider Posted June 28, 2010 #2 Posted June 28, 2010 It does increase the volume, but I can't speak of the quality of the music. I'm half deaf. Battery life seems to be about 12-14 hours depending on volume.
midnightventure Posted June 28, 2010 #3 Posted June 28, 2010 I have one. It seems to be trouble prone. It came in handy when our power was out in a ice storm. I hooked a little battery powered radio to computer speakers so we could listen while we read.
RoadKill Posted June 29, 2010 #4 Posted June 29, 2010 I use a boostaroo on my wing to amp up my GPS w/ XM works fabulous. I would never be with out it. What amazes me is how long those batteries last. Many times I've left it on for days and it still works. I expect its been over 90 days since I changed batteries.
bugfish69 Posted June 29, 2010 #5 Posted June 29, 2010 I used a Boostaroo, although an earlier model, on my previous bike and it worked great. Have not needed since I got the venture, but we still use it as a splitter when watching movies on the laptop and that type of thing.
Snarley Bill Posted June 29, 2010 #6 Posted June 29, 2010 i have a boosteroo on my v-star 1300. i piggy backed it on another small amp with a volume control to power up my sirius radio through my head phones. i piggy backed my amp with the boosteroo to get a little more volume, since i am hard of hearing. the whole deal works great. i bought some small portable speakers from radio shack to plug in when i go camping so i will have sirius at the camp site. haven't tried them yet.
