Possible problem? thanks craig Probable cb squelch setting, try turning off the cb & see about getting radio stations. If that works, then play with squelch settings. The cb will over ride the am / fm radio, if sqelch is set too low.
maxv65 Posted June 27, 2010 Author #3 Posted June 27, 2010 tried squelch settings, and turning CB off, but I would think setting squelch too low/high would kill FM completely if that were the case. But I can still hear static. I even thought it might be antenna adjustment, but that didn't do anything.
Condor Posted June 27, 2010 #4 Posted June 27, 2010 There's a static choke mounted on the wall in front of the amplifier. Check to see if you have one and if you do it might be bad. There's also an antenna splitter mounted on the back of the CB. Check the connection for the radio, and at the other end which connects to the amp....
