Godlover Posted June 25, 2010 #1 Posted June 25, 2010 I put an ad in the classified for a new set of Carbon 1 crash bar braces with chrome clamps for $45 shipped. I sold the bike and didn't get them sold.
Guest oldroadstar Posted June 25, 2010 #2 Posted June 25, 2010 I'll take them. Call me 850-766-7110 or email martin_wfm@hotmail.com or reply.
RedRider Posted June 25, 2010 #3 Posted June 25, 2010 I'll take them if the deal with oldroadstar falls thru. RR
TDbiker Posted June 25, 2010 #5 Posted June 25, 2010 I've got a set that I haven't completed installing yet. Anyone have any tricks to drill through the cast floorboard brace without having to disassemble brake (right) and shifter(left)?? That's where I'm stuck right now. Thanks.
Seaking Posted June 26, 2010 #6 Posted June 26, 2010 I just installed mine the other and I didn't find anything too scary about it.. I did bother to take the extra time and removing the floorboards and disconnecting the levers on both sides.. just makes for an easier time drilling the holes required. Start to finish about an hour total. I love how I can push against my highway bars when I need to without feat of snapping something. Well done!
bamico Posted June 26, 2010 #7 Posted June 26, 2010 TD, I installed mine without removing the floorboards. Little snug, but it worked. When installing, keep things loose as you'll need to wiggle things around to get them in place. An offset drill would be most helpful if you happen to have one, as well as the shortest drill bits you can find/fabricate. Drilling is easy, the metal is pretty soft. Good Luck, you'll love them once installed. Bob
