silverdeer0454 Posted June 24, 2010 #1 Posted June 24, 2010 Just posting a link for an individual who is on a wonderful mission, raising awareness about cancer, survival, and hope. If there are any members in Washington state that would like to meet up with Terry and log a few miles just let me know. I have offered him a place to stay for the night and some home cooking here on Camano Island. http://www.terrysbigadventure.com/ Thanks everyone! Larry AKA Silverdeer
silverdeer0454 Posted June 25, 2010 Author #2 Posted June 25, 2010 Just an update: Terry will be in Oregon City Oregon at the "Relay for Life" event. Should make it into Washington state by early next week. Still looking for riders who would like to meet up and ride a few miles with him.
silverdeer0454 Posted June 28, 2010 Author #3 Posted June 28, 2010 Bump. Hey Washington riders, check Terry's web site. We are planning a meeting in Leavenworth for the upcoming week. Hope to see some of you there.
silverdeer0454 Posted July 3, 2010 Author #4 Posted July 3, 2010 If there are any Washington riders who would like to meet Terry. 4 July 2010 at Denny's exit 208 around 12:30 to 1pm for lunch and then an escort north bound on I-5. Terry will be headed out on Highway 20 and making his way to Idaho.
silverdeer0454 Posted July 5, 2010 Author #5 Posted July 5, 2010 Very disappointed in the level of activity among the Washington state members of Venture Rider, but I guess I should have figured it out last year when I sponsored a Meet-n-eat and only 3 people showed up even when I posted that I would foot the bill. Oh well...Life and motorcycling go on regardless.
Squidley Posted July 5, 2010 #7 Posted July 5, 2010 Been following his ride on facebook, actually bought one of his coins to keep him going. Great message and it's good to see some folks actually have PASSION out there for a good cause.
silverdeer0454 Posted July 5, 2010 Author #8 Posted July 5, 2010 As a stage 3 colon cancer survivor, going on 20 years cancer free, I can really appreciate what he is doing to spread the word about not giving up hope. I have followed him since day 1 and have purchased 2 of his coins and donated $300.00 to keep him going. When I visit my brother in Ft. Worth TX, I know I'll see him again. Besides I found out that my 05 RSTD with Khrome Werks pipes sound way better than the stock pipes on his Harley.
