Guest Katydid Posted September 14, 2006 #1 Posted September 14, 2006 Hey folks, does anyone know of a kit that turns your rear turn signals into a combination tail light/turn signal? I own a '06 RSV. I have a friend who bought such a kit from HD, and it really looks great. T/Y!!
awsmsrv Posted September 14, 2006 #2 Posted September 14, 2006 Try this. I've got the Dynamic Clusters. Scroll down this page (http://customdynamics.com/yamaha_turn_signal_retro.htm) to see them.

Crash Posted September 14, 2006 #5 Posted September 14, 2006 I have the KURYAKYN module that makes your rear turn signals RUN, BRAKE LIGHTS. http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/h_kuryakyn_logo_small_darkg.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif Run-Turn-Brake Controller http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif// ABOUT APPLICATIONS // http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/products/popup/11965_kur_4710_tt_u_pu.jpg http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif A marvel of electronic wizardry, this module makes single filament or single circuit turn signals on the rear of the bike function as running lights, turn signals, and brake lights! The module wires in beneath your seat and is intended for use with L.E.D. or Halogen Silver Bullets or other custom turn signals you have installed on your bike. The unit will work fine with stock turn signals as well, but you will have to find red lenses from another source. http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif _4710 // $59.99 _ORDER NOW http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifRun-Turn-Brake Controller for Metric Cruisers (ea) _INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gifhttp://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif_VIEW SHOPPING CART _CLOSE WINDOW _VIEW WISH LIST http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif http://www.kuryakyn.com/graphics/filler_trans.gif
Guest Boomerbiker Posted September 14, 2006 #6 Posted September 14, 2006 I just worked with a friend to install the LED set from Electrical Connection that Allan referred to. It was a good experience, but a little work to remove and reinstall the pigtails under the fender that connect to the wiring harness behind the license plate bracket. A lot more light when you hit the stoppers. Bill
Lone Eagle Posted September 14, 2006 #7 Posted September 14, 2006 just when I THOUGHT I was thru adding lights to the back ya had ta post this!!!!!!!! Just think how safe you will be with some extra lights on the back AND sides!!!
SNOW700R Posted September 14, 2006 #8 Posted September 14, 2006 I bought a kit from Nopork.com. Turns rear signals into running lamps & brake lamps. Works great, much better rear visibility, wife feels much safer also.

Jdix Posted September 14, 2006 #10 Posted September 14, 2006 I was also looking for a way to brighten up the back. The Custom Dynamics' Dynamic Clusters look like a good solution, especially with the smoked or clear lenses, but it appears to me that they are not DOT approved. Does anyone know why they might not be approved for the street and what problems one might have using such a system? Jdix

Jdix True, they aren't DOT approved, however, I only think it would be an issue if you were pulled over for something else AND gave the cop a hard time AND if he even knew they weren't approved. I haven't had any problems with them. I guess it comes down to this: "Use at your own risk."

I have unscrewed both the tail and turn lights. It looks extremely tight to get the led wires thru where the plug is currently located . Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Steve
