Squidley Posted June 25, 2010 #76 Posted June 25, 2010 Also too on the collector, I had to repair the one on the '89 and TIG welded it together. If you can get me the collector I might be able to repair it also, I'll keep my eye out for one.
Monty Posted June 25, 2010 #77 Posted June 25, 2010 James, Paypal sent. I also have one new collector gasket around here, if that would help. I know the parts can add up, so it could help defray the cost even more. If you want it, shoot me an address, and it'll be on it's way to you.
oldgoat Posted June 25, 2010 Author #79 Posted June 25, 2010 hello every one thank you all. they wont let me out of HERE. looks like at least a week. they found more wrong with the brain lesions damn. so now antibiotics getting put into me for this whole week. i feel allright? but docs say im not. whats nice though is i can have the lap top for an hour then they take it away. still looking up to see what P.A.D is? something in the leggs that can cause a stroke or brain problems even death. like i said i feel fine. they got me walking pretty good. dianne is working today. and didnt take my call last night. looks like old goat is in the bad barn ? my daughter went back to minnesota witha stearn warrning to say your sorry dad to her once again im in the bad barn. its just so damn frustrating when i was feeling good at MD and then in like a couple days wham im down. and allmost for the final count. then this damn motorcycle shop, dont help much cost to get it out is $400.oo and thats after dianne and I paid 800.00 all ready to this shyster. maybe im treating this shop wrong too after all 3 rebuild calipers cant be cheap? he said 85 each? new rear rotor $185.oo new rotor bolts $15 each? master rebuild kit $55? upper front one? rear one same price? ok still not $800.00 but close then they break the collector. and monty yep thats the break he showed dianne. he said he would pull the exhaust but it cant be welded? i think they dont know how? so i might send it out to someone here maybe cupcake to see if they can get new outlets welded on it. . well im about to crash for a while. pain meds are wonderfull sometimes. but i think its because i get onery and the nurse likes when where all knocked out? many thanks again the donations are comming in. i owe you all big time. if im rambling its the meds and i better put this lap top away and take a nap.
dingy Posted June 25, 2010 #80 Posted June 25, 2010 James, The blood clots in your legs are nothing to mess with. I had one last April that broke loose from my right leg and lodge between my heart & lungs. I had two doctors tell me that they rarely see people still alive after that. Take your time and rest up. I have a good set of rotor bolts that you can have. I am hoping he meant the bolts were $15 a wheel. They are $3.27 apiece new online. Need 6 each wheel. Skydoc 17 may be able to help out with the rebuild kits for the calipers. Front & rear brake master kits are right at $50 each online. Gary
Monty Posted June 25, 2010 #81 Posted June 25, 2010 James, Where do you live, LaSalle? I grew up in the area with the red circle. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/IlMap.jpg
Sylvester Posted June 25, 2010 #82 Posted June 25, 2010 Dingy is right on the blood clots. I fought doctors for six months last year telling them I could not get enough oxygen to walk to the mail box. After stress test, heart cathetars and lots of visits they said there is nothing wrong with me. Two weeks before Christmas I passed out twice at home. they found a blood clot in my lungs that had been there for more than six month and told me I should be dead. All is well now that I am on Coumadin (blood thinner) for life. Take care and be good!
eusa1 Posted June 25, 2010 #83 Posted June 25, 2010 i would be glad to pickup and deliver your bike, when the shop is done with it, if that will help any?? you should still have my contact info, or look in my profile. get well soon, and suck up to the little gal for trying to help you... goatkeepers are hard to find and will help keep you away from the pearly gatekeeper! mike
oldgoat Posted June 25, 2010 Author #84 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) after lunch break and this nurse is nice let me have the lap top. monty i was born in a little town called oglesby illinois well born in peru grew up in oglesby. at age 14 moved to brainerd MN love that country. when i was young but now brrrrrrrrrrrrrr im no good at them -50 windchill nights. and dingy all the parts are on the bike now. at that cost of $800.00 the donations brought in $170 so far and man that was verry nice of all of you and boss well what can i say? every little bit is helping and from calling the jerk at the shop i just need to bring in $400 more and the bike can leave his happy shop? so $800 for parts $400 for labor? and i still have to get the exhaust fixed.? well he did say he will pull the exhaust for free and if i can get the collector it will cost about an hours more labor and the bike can roll on down the highway on its own power? so ouch!!! trust me this wont ever happen again. i got good friends here. next MD they can help. beer is a good price for good labor and laughs and good food and well you get the point. and you would think there would be some kind of after market collector but?? i did find a whole exhaust on ebay from pinwall rough looking but the collector is there cost around $150 with shipping anyone close to this shop in ohio? i could pay the $99 for all of it and have a member pick it up and send me just the collector i will pay shipping and just pass on the rest of the exhaust to others or i can pick it up at next MD would save me on shipping all that stuff i dont realy need. dingy Posted June 25, 2010 #85 Posted June 25, 2010 James, I looked at the exhausts I could find on Pinwall. Is it this one ? 130373180970 ebay # If it is, it looks like the collector is not worth getting. Look at the last picture in the listing. Pinwall puts extra pictures in towards bottom. I can go to Pinwall for you if you find something worth getting. I would have liked to had mufflers from this set. Gary

Zfrebird4 Posted June 26, 2010 #89 Posted June 26, 2010 Remember Zfrebird4? You GAVE me a radio and Cassette Player (the latter was my goal) and the power pack below the deck. The cassette player works great, ... and all for $23 in postage. So what does that tell me? You have been generous to others, and not it is OUR turn to be generous to you! When my next pay check comes I'll be donating to your cause on that pay pal account 'The Boss' included above. Now, enjoy the view with the FEMALE nurses, treat em nice, and they'll bat their eyes at that big brute male nurse on your behalf. And I think GOATKEEPER is T H E name for you good care giver. And not to worry: EVERY MALE ON THIS SITE is familiar with having to eat gravel because of what was said to another female! It just goes with the tribe! I love you man, and I will be HONORED when I get to meet you. Keep on fighting, and keep us posted. And the love for you here is just ... well, ... immeasurable! All here think you are a good, worthy man, and we want you around for a long, long time! JackZ Fort Collins PS I'm the guy who will be praying for you when I enjoy all my good cassette music due to your kindness! JT So YA! Keep smiling, dancing, showing your teeth, hopeing for the best, and remembering your best rides! Thumbs up to you my friend, James! Jack
