A couple of weeks ago, I pulled the rear wheel, differential and drive shaft to do the typical maintenance items. All came apart as expected, and all went back together as expected. :thumbsup2:

Question -> Is there any kind of rear wheel alignment that has to occur?

Or does the bolt-up procedure insure proper rear-wheel alignment?

I just emailed you the service bulletin on aligning the rear wheel to ensure there is no popping noise while backing up.

Other than that I am not aware of any "alignment" procedure.

Good luck.

You can download the factory service manual for FREE from the link in the VRTech section to read all the factory maintenance procedures.

HOWEVER there is an occasional error, like in the carburetor synchronizing procedure they number the carbs incorrectly...... gotta love Yamaha.
