Grandpagak Posted June 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2010 wednesday i traded my beloved 86 venture for a 2000 v-star.. (straight up) the 86 was just to heavy for me now that i have lost 240 pounds( and muscle).. the v-star is nothing like my venture.. nooo sirr eeee.. but i sure feel safer cause i can reach the ground and handle it better.. both bikes had 24000 miles.. mraf Posted June 19, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 19, 2010 Nice looking bike Gary. The Ventures are a handful once in a while. Just keep the wind in your hair and the bugs on the shield.

BradT Posted September 13, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 13, 2010 Always liked those intruders but never rode one. Looks like they could be fun. Nice looking A little more pep for sure. I think the 650 runs a just a little short of power on the highways. Brad
T.J. Posted September 13, 2010 Share #10 Posted September 13, 2010 I had a 99 Intruder before getting my 04 Venture. It was fun, but not meant for long hauls for the wife and I. My wifes knees would give out after 100 miles and I was always looking for a stop light or stop sign so I could stand up for a minute. We had 30,000 miles when I sold it. Because we were riding so much the wife talked me into getting the Venture. I said OK honey, if you really want me too. It was a fun bike around town. I hope you enjoy your new ride. Black Owl Posted September 13, 2010 Share #14 Posted September 13, 2010 So, does this mean we now have to allow Suzuki riders to attend the 2011 Pork in the Pines? We all know how rowdy they get. Just can't have those kinds of activities going on at the Pig Roast.... Just keep it up and I'll be forced to take the Queen off the trailer....
