Good luck...definitely not for me. I'd have to be very highly medicated for such torture. This time of year is for nite rides....n La.

108F isn't such a big deal. What, 96 or so with some humidity? Very doable.

The thing I've learned about myself is that I can't rehydrate in such weather. If I become deficient, I can't catch up. I sweat faster than I can intake and process. So, I "pre-hydrate". If I know I am riding a long ways on Friday in hot weather, I start drinking more than normal on Tuesday. That way my cells are all plumped up with water to give. Then I don't need to drink gallons on Friday.

I like the TripTrack site. I wonder if there is such a thing for Android? It would keep my wife from worrying when I ride 5-700 miles every other Friday (my day off). :) It's a little sad that you spent so much time on the super slab, but that's how you get from here to there.

Thanks for the link. Just checked out the app and I've already got it on my phone. Saved me from buying a SPOT.

It looks like you click to update your location? I reckon the SPOT works even when you aren't able to click.

I use Google Latitude, which shares my location with those I designate. My wife can see when I am moving, or not. She'll still worry when I am out of cell data areas.
