Guest Slab_Ryder Posted June 16, 2010 #1 Posted June 16, 2010 Greetings all. How does one figure out the maximum Tire Temperature for a monitoring system on a Venture?
dynodon Posted June 16, 2010 #2 Posted June 16, 2010 Can you just read the temperature before you put in a temp to alert you at? If so, I would just make sure the pressures are correct, then ride the bike and watch the temperature and see how high it goes. If you are on a hot day, then set the temp about 10 degrees above that? I would think you would want it at least 10 more than a hot normal ride. To do any real damage, I would think it would be WAY higher than that so unless it false alarms too much at 10 degrees, you should be OK.
eusa1 Posted June 16, 2010 #3 Posted June 16, 2010 my front tire runs around 95 degrees, and the rear at about 130 on an average summer day. the info that dyno gives you is your best bet, just put any number in and watch and see what it does, then set your warnings at a level that your comfortable with. mike
