Sorry to hear about the illness, Get well soon Mary. :223:

I suppose its lucky....if thats what you can call it....that this didn't happen when you were up in Alaska. Stay safe and take your time coming home.

Mary is looking and feeling much better today. The doc said she could start eating some soft foods (no more gourmet Jello :)) so they gave her some nice fish for dinner tonight and she enjoyed it very much. Should get some lab tests back tomorrow and hoping to get out by mid week. I've moved the space shuttle closer today so it's only a couple of miles to the hospital. I can get on the internet at a local grocery store on the way home.

Glad to hear Mary is feeling better, nothing worse than being stuck in a hospital when you're on vacation. I hope you can get back to your vacation soon!

Mary got out of the hospital yesterday evening and is feeling and looking better all the time. Going to let her rest up for a couple of days at least before we head out again.

Gary what a great trip, I'm so sorry to hear Mary got sick. Same thing happened to me and Jen on vacation a few years back, a quick stop for some food a few hours later she was bent over stuff was coming out of both... well you know the rest of the story. Wish Mary well from both of us and have a safe trip home.

The journey continues. We left Red Deer Alberta Saturday morning and today we are at Mt. Rushmore. We stayed at Devils Tower last night and drove up on the bike and had a up close look this morning. Mary wasn't up to the hike around the base. This is the middle of bike week (Sturgis) so the campgrounds are all full and the roads are too. Never seen so many bikes. Hope to do a little riding around tomorrow but probably won't get too close to Sturgis.

Had a great ride today. Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles hwy. and Crazy Horse monument. They sure have some great bike roads here.

Mary did very well. It was her first good ride since she was sick. We were only out for about five hours because it was very hot. The thermometer on the bike was right at 100*. Cycle therapy must really work.

Back in the Shuttle headed east tomorrow.

Gary, I have enjoyed every pic and read every post since you began on June 7. Thanks for those. Glad to hear that Mary is feeling better and back in the saddle. Hope the rest of your ride as you head east brings more good memories for you and Mary.

Well this adventure is all but over. Just have to pick up a few groceries this morning and we should be home sweet home this afternoon. Other than Mary's one week stay in the hotel Red Deer it's been awsome. Can't even complain about the weather. Only had two or three days of rain and nothing we couldn't ride in. The trip was amazing.

Glad you enjoyed it! (at least most of it)

I know I enjoyed reading about it and the pics.

Mary must have been a little green around the gills....I know I am.....just a little green with envy!

Thanks for taking us along with you on the trip! I hope others on an adventure such as yours do the same so we can all enjoy the experiences along with them.

Home Sweet Home

Now I get to clean the Shuttle, the bike, the trailer, change oil in everything, replace burnt out headlight, cut the lawn, trim the hedges, pull the weeds, sort through my mail, and pay bills. It was a great trip.

looks like you have to add the Canadian provinces to your map of "conquests"

Well, I tried. But I can't seem to get both maps to stay for some reason. Still have to add South Dakota too. If I counted all the States I've towed the bike through I'd just about have them all, but that wouldn't count would it.
