barend Posted June 6, 2010 #1 Posted June 6, 2010 Coming home from Savannah today I almost lost my running light. the frame mounted bracket to which squidly's light bracket, the horn and a fog light are mounted broke clean off. The metal is clean all through the break, so this was not a developing crack with ultimate break. Don't know if something hit the light to have caused this, but at least she landed on my boot and hung on by the wiring. Question one would be if any one knows of the top if this is a bolt on tab or welded on. And second, if it is bolted on does anyone have a spare (left side) so I can fix this easy like. Thanks!!

I think I have a spare one, I'll go on a scavenger hunt. Gary
dingy Posted June 6, 2010 #3 Posted June 6, 2010 Below is a picture of spare one I have. Is it the one you need? I used three on my bike, two for stock horns & one for Stebel horn. Gary
barend Posted June 6, 2010 Author #4 Posted June 6, 2010 That looks like it would be it, I'll send you a PM. thanks
bongobobny Posted June 7, 2010 #5 Posted June 7, 2010 Make sure it is the side you need as there is a left and a right one...
Snaggletooth Posted June 7, 2010 #6 Posted June 7, 2010 Hi Barend, Last winter I was talking to Squidly about putting chrome Drag Speciality 4 1/2" driving lights on my bike. I already had the mounting brackets he made on it but was concerned about the same bracket that you had break on yours being able to handle the extra weight. Of course Squidly had a plan. I sent both brackets (tabs) down to him and he welded a gusset into the 90 degree angle on the mounting brackets and that stiffened them up right nice. No more vibration or flexing. Not a big project to do yourself, if you weld, or a local shop should be able to do that for ya pretty cheap. Something to consider. Solved my problem. Mike
