saddlebum Posted June 6, 2010 #1 Posted June 6, 2010 After all my hard work and even leaving Carl's venture in early to to get all the work done , I have to say I failed. got the drywall done and painted in the three story stair well. but did not get finished building the oak hand raill. Fortunatly my Daughters wedding was still a great success everyone had a great time eating drinking and dancing. This morning we had a big after wedding breakfast, and tonight we had a big after wedding dinner. As speeches go they were all short and sweet and as per normal, each talker managed to put someone on the spot, except me I some seemed to put myself on the spot (guess this is why my lowest grade in school was public speaking. My wife had the shortest speach in history. she got up and said now I want grand children My daughter was absolutly beautiful and through out the night she made sure she spent time with each person that was there. My son in law wanted to know how long before he could start borrowing tool's- - Hard to believe:think: Actually my new son in law is a great guy and I could not have picked any one better for my daughter. I know he will treat her right. trouble is my wife will start expecting the same from me. She is the type of person that thinks you can teach old dogs new tricks.

Marcarl Posted June 6, 2010 #4 Posted June 6, 2010 And so WOW,,, how come we weren't invited,,,,, could have been another VentureIn and the party could have lasted allllll night, because we would all want to have spoken,,,,'specially me. Good to hear it turned out so good,,, now forget about the work for a while,, you need to ponder the next step very carefully, so you get it right and not screw up,,,,, 'course the best spot to do some pondering is on the back of an iron horse,, away from all that would be distracting and into territories that would give new and thoughtful ideas.
