cooling fan

I have noticed a couple of times the past 2 weeks that my cooling fan will just arbitrarily come on while my bike has been sitting in the garage for a couple days--If I disconnect the battery ground and reconnect everything is fine (the fan shuts off)---Do I have a bad relay or am I missing something??

Sounds to me like you have something grounding out.

If the fan is wired per the schematic, it should not have power to it unless the key is in the 'On' position.
