Or look for a blue and black RSTD with a blue fairing. Hearthstone point campground..... I can't find an actual wesite for the place. Do they have room for another bike and tent? Will some mild beer drinkin' and BS'n be aloud? and happening? I'm about an hour south Bangor, Me tonight (Tuesday). Looks to be about 450 miles away, but I have some things to see as well along the way. Hope to get in the neighborhood around midday Thursday and meet up with Jonesy (the whole reason this trip came about http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49132 ). Thinkin' I would like to stay in Lake George Thursday night, and then have 2 easy days to get back to WI. Later, Scooter Bob

Just north of Lake George Village on rt 9n. I'm not a drinker and will probably be downtown. I'm supposed to meet someone on Thursday at 5 pm in front of the Wax Mueseum in the center of the village. Not sure which way you are going but the nicest way is to cross Lake Champlain from 17 west on the free ferry then head south on ny 22 to Ticonderoga and take rt 9n to Lake George. If you are staying at the park you can avoid going through the village that way. Traffic is usually a mess during Americade. Edited June 9, 2010 by hunter 1500
jarrejx Posted June 9, 2010 #10 Posted June 9, 2010 Yama-Qman and I (along with about nine...GoldWingers) arrived here from Indiana on late Sunday. We're staying at the Canoe Island Lodge on Rte 9 in Diamond Point and I believe PB&J passes us every time he travels into Lake George. We met TheJoker and his blue RSV at the registration center on Monday and several other venture owners who are not members of this site. Two of them are Americade staffers that are staying here at Canoe Island. One guy said he would certainly be checking out VR.org. It would be great to see Scooter Bob again...we met him last July at RedRider's (Jeff's) maintenance day in Fond du Lac, WI. where Scooter did carb synchs on both of our bikes. Thanx again, Scooter...it helped us give those Gold Wingers a new found appreciation for these Yammies. We would love to meet up with any other VRs in this area and if dinner is not possible, maybe some ice cream at one of the shops in Lake George. My phone number is 219-689-7197. We plan on being down at the expo area sometime today and most of tomorrow. Everyone ride safe. Jerry

Scooter Bob Posted June 11, 2010 #12 Posted June 11, 2010 Yama-Qman and I (along with about nine...GoldWingers) arrived here from Indiana on late Sunday. Jerry Real nice seeing you guys again. Probably see you again at the International. I stopped in at the vendor set up a couple miles south of town on 9, as I pulled in, I got to watch this. I turn right into the driveway, and am waiting for a couple bikes to move so I can get parked. I here a crunch to my left, and look over to see a white wing, that had been waiting to leave, slowly falling over. Another bike had come in from the north (left turning into the drive) and had run into the wing front end. A second bike coming in slides down, and the third one in the group hit the front of the pickup the three were all apparently trying to quickly cut in front of on the just rain soaked pavement. The guy goes over the handlebars doing a somersault onto the hood of the truck. Not a nice thing to watch. Hope everyone ends up ok out of the deal. Please let me know if you happen to here any more about how everyone's doing. Later, Scooter Bob
