This is a worthwile ride

Atlanta's biggest fundraiser of the year for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is coming up next weekend. It's a motorcycle ride. If Deltoid was still with us in body the way he is in spirit, I know what he would do. He would give and he would ride. I invite all of my SC Brothers and sisters to join us in supporting Deltoid's Team. This is our way of giving back to Mike.

Chip Oehring has set up a website where, if you feel so inclined, you can make a donation to PBTF in Deltoid's name. Our goal is $2000 and we are only 10% of the way there. Any amount at all is appreciated. The web address is: http://www.firstgiving.com/deltoidsteam

 

The other way you can help... and we'd really like to see you there... is to come ride with us on June 6.

 

 

The Atlanta Ride For Kids will be Sunday June 6. It starts at North Pointe Mall (exit 9 off GA400 in Alpharetta. Registration begins at 7am and first bike out is at 0930. This will be a rain-or-shine ride and is LEO-escorted. We will end at Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega for lunch. Residence Inn by Marriott is the host hotel and is offering very attractive rates.

I'd really like to make this ride, particularly since the finish line is in my back yard...

 

But I'm already committed to working as a volunteer for a local organization this weekend.

 

I'll be there in spirit.
