BigBear Posted June 1, 2010 #1 Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks to a number of you good folks, I was able to perform much-needed mainteance on my scoot! I changed out all of the OEM pads for EBC HH slintered pads...WOW...what a difference! (Thanks Steve!) I also pulled the rear wheel to clean out the 5 pounds of bearing grease that the dealer packed into the splines & pins (Thanks Cougar and Mr Freebird for their outstanding pictorials! And lastly, thanks to the number of folks that added their 2 cents along the way....your comments were invaluable... One again I say... "You guys ROCK!"
Yammer Dan Posted June 1, 2010 #2 Posted June 1, 2010 Some of us do something once in a while. Not often but...
massey130 Posted June 1, 2010 #3 Posted June 1, 2010 I have said it before also that the info shared here is great. i have done a bunch to my scooter also and it is because of the people on here. if that is not enough, there are the maint days. my hat is off to Squidly (poo) who figured out why i could not shift my bike and then fixed it. now, as i get better at fixin n maintainin, i try to pass on what i can when i can to keep the wheels rolling. I want to thank those who host the maint days, too. getting the place ready and then tearing down afterwards, whew, i am getting tired just thinking about that much work. Most of all, i thank all the men and women of the military forces and supporting entites that keep my freedom to ride my scooter and chase my dreams in place.
