Ceramic brake pads

Has anyone tried these type brake pads on their Venture?? They're ceramic. One of my friends has a Goldwing and he tried them and said the squeal. Anyone else had similar experience??

Considering the cost of the rotors on these bikes, I would rather use a relatively softer brake pad. It may not last as long, but it is kinder & gentler to the rotor.
