Al Bates Posted December 1, 2007 #76 Posted December 1, 2007 Hi folks ...I finally got up to see Gary(due to a cold I wasn't able to get up there the last two weeks)...seems to be doing okay ....he was sitting up .....he had a few questions for me and sounds like he would like to have a computer in his room but he can't hook up anyways ...he has no upper body strength because of his long stay in bed ...he feels he won't be home for Christmas their still doing a lot of tests on him ...he has blood clots they have to deal with in his legs and his one eye the vision isn't good ..their doing drops for now but what the future holds I have no idea. His breathing is still not good and he's still on oxygen . He says hello to all .... Great to here Gary is doing better. Computer is possible, Laptop with a PC Internet card. A lot of cell phone company's have the PC cards now:happy34:
Ramblingman Posted December 5, 2007 Author #77 Posted December 5, 2007 Hello again ...went to see GaryN today and he's off the oxygen now ...and the word is he may be moved over to another hospital for rehab.. he's still got no strength ..but things I hope are looking up now!
Sweetnothing Posted December 5, 2007 #78 Posted December 5, 2007 Bruce, Glad to hear he is getting better, and will soon start rehab. Please let us know when that happens, and what hospital they will be moving him to. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers, as he will need them in the time to come!
Guest BluesLover Posted December 5, 2007 #79 Posted December 5, 2007 Bruce - thanks for keeping us informed and it is so good that to hear that there is improvement in his condition. Let us know if and when he is capable (and willing) of receiving visitors. In the meantime, please let him know that he is in our thoughts. Cheers,
Yammer Dan Posted December 5, 2007 #80 Posted December 5, 2007 The strength will come when he gets to start moving around. Being down like that is hard on you. It takes a lot of time to get back what you loose.

Al Bates Posted December 28, 2007 #94 Posted December 28, 2007 Diane and I went to visit Gary N (Nantais) to day, he’s at the Windsor Regional Hospital-Western Campus, 1453 Prince Rd. Room 2515. About 5 Lights from the bridge. Make a right. He was excited to see us. We ended up staying over 4 hours. As we were leaving some more friends stop in, we all talked, laughed and had a good time. Gary is much better but has a long ways to go. He just started walking. Folks, he’s ready for visitors. He will be there for a few more weeks and maybe longer. So if you can fine the time stop in and say hello....... P.S He did say he wants to get another bike and he loves to ride. He likes Motorcycles, Roadsters magazines ..........
Dano Posted December 28, 2007 #95 Posted December 28, 2007 If he could use some recent Popular Mechanics mags, I could send him some. Let me know and I'll get them right out. Dan

Carbon_One Posted December 29, 2007 #99 Posted December 29, 2007 Joyce and I just got in from visting Gary this evening. As others here have said he's doing well and happy for any company coming his way. Hopfully he'll make it to our year end party but if not we'll have one for his coming out maybe. Whatever he is improving and that's what matters most. Thou it's been and still will be a long recovery for him. Larry & Joyce
