titansedriver Posted May 28, 2010 #1 Posted May 28, 2010 I ordered a Battery from RJ ATV in Spring Hill,Florida to replace the dying one in my 1989 Venture---upon opening the box I am told per the instructions that there is no ACID in the battery and no ACID in the box!-WTH???!!----What now?---do the auto parts stores carry the acid??---
MiCarl Posted May 28, 2010 #2 Posted May 28, 2010 Conventional flooded batteries are not sealed, so they cannot be shipped on an airplane if they have acid in them. Since most shipping services use airplanes you cannot get one with the acid in it unless you purchase locally. Auto parts store might have battery acid. If you have a Batteries Plus near you they might be talked into doing it (they flood their batteries in the store).
titansedriver Posted May 28, 2010 Author #3 Posted May 28, 2010 Thanx for the help MiCarl we dont have a "Batteries Plus" around these parts---I cant beleive they just sold me the battery casing --and at $79.99 at that!!
