Freebird Posted May 25, 2010 #1 Posted May 25, 2010 Just curious. I know that a few of you have gone over the the Goldwing side. Just curious how many we actually have now?
Wanderer Posted May 25, 2010 #3 Posted May 25, 2010 Good idea finding out who these traitors are - - - so we can go burn their houses down - with those precious little Wings in them, hah! Oops, sorry, did I write that out loud!
FreezyRider Posted May 25, 2010 #5 Posted May 25, 2010 Mine is in my DETACHED garage. So burning my house won't get it, thankfully. BTW, you evidently haven't heard.....the 1800 Wing is fast enough to outrun the fire!
nyjerry Posted May 25, 2010 #6 Posted May 25, 2010 I'm another trader and could you just burn the garage but make sure the wing is in there. I'm normally out riding it.
Tom Posted May 25, 2010 #8 Posted May 25, 2010 I have one ordered pendng sale of my MRSV in classifieds

gibvel Posted May 25, 2010 #11 Posted May 25, 2010 Boss are we giving you the itch for a GL1800 Gold Wing now? They sure are nice.....OK I better go hide now:duck: Actually I think he's taking the comment by someone that there needs to be a Winger section started on this site for those who have "defected". I think he just wants to see if there would be enough interest. Kind of like the "darkside" section that he created.
jer878 Posted May 25, 2010 #13 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) I believe CarbonOne is a wingnut, Detroit Redwings that is. Edited May 25, 2010 by jer878 doh!
SilvrT Posted May 25, 2010 #14 Posted May 25, 2010 You know, I've gone over and over this scoot and cannot find any wing nuts anywhere ...
SilvrT Posted May 25, 2010 #15 Posted May 25, 2010 Actually I think he's taking the comment by someone that there needs to be a Winger section started on this site for those who have "defected". I think he just wants to see if there would be enough interest. Kind of like the "darkside" section that he created. That's a good guess coz he started a Harley site and then wanted to sell it so maybe nobody wanted it so he's thinkin of turnin it into a Honda site... ????
Yamaman Posted May 25, 2010 #16 Posted May 25, 2010 I've been planning to buy those wingnuts that hold the seat on. does that count?
FreezyRider Posted May 25, 2010 #17 Posted May 25, 2010 Well, all I got to say is..... It's a good thing he didn't ask how many NUMBNUTS we have here.
SilvrT Posted May 25, 2010 #18 Posted May 25, 2010 Well, all I got to say is..... It's a good thing he didn't ask how many NUMBNUTS we have here. yep.... this would then become the largest thread ever!!!
Freebird Posted May 25, 2010 Author #19 Posted May 25, 2010 I shut down the Harley site long ago. I initially tried it after my brother bought a new Harley and then a couple of other friends also ended up with new Harleys. I found though that I just didn't have the time and energy to run and promote two sites. I think it's just hard to do so if you don't own a particular bike. No, I have no intention of starting another site. I also don't want to try and be all things to all people, I just don't think it works. On the other hand, as more of our members switch to Goldwings, I don't want them to feel left out either. While this site is dedicated to the Venture and Royal Stars, it has become as much about the friendships as it is about the bikes. So, yes, I am trying to get a feel as to whether or not I should add an area for our beloved Wingnuts.
Sunrayman Posted May 25, 2010 #20 Posted May 25, 2010 Don, You should know better than try a Harley site. All the Harley crowd is too busy wrenching on they're bikes to get them on the road! They don't have time to type anything...
Black Owl Posted May 25, 2010 #21 Posted May 25, 2010 Shucks, I thought this sit was already dedicaed to all the nuts out there, whether on wings or not..... But then, I remember a conversation we had shortly after the site got up and running where I mentioned that the site name could apply to what we do as well as what we ride. Cause every ride is a venture, regardless of what one is on. Okay, now I'll shut up and go back to the nest....
Nighthawk II Posted May 25, 2010 #22 Posted May 25, 2010 I have an old 79 GL1000. Nice bike with Vetter fairing and bags. It needs a lot of work done to it, like coils, tires, fork seals, and some other things to get it running. I just don't have enough time to hunt up the parts and do the work on it just now. Does that count? I also worked with a guy we called Wingnut. He could get turned all the way around in a cross wind.
Freebird Posted May 25, 2010 Author #23 Posted May 25, 2010 HEY...not only did I lose interest in the Harley site but then I tried to sell it just for what I had invested in the software and etc. but found no takers. I then offered to GIVE it to any of the few members that might want to take it over...still no takers. I finally just pulled the plug.
DragonRider Posted May 25, 2010 #24 Posted May 25, 2010 Put Eck in charge of the Wingnut section!!!!!
Yammer Dan Posted May 25, 2010 #25 Posted May 25, 2010 Put Eck in charge of the Wingnut section!!!!! A nut in charge of the nuts?????
