Take a look at http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/search.lasso?SearchTerm=2720 for top of the line, vibration free mounts. Top quality and top dollar, too!

RAM mount for a lot less money at http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/show.lasso?sku=GR26H&-session=touratech:4BBFFB29876B898D2786145CC9862043

is widely available through many outlets.

I'm not affiliated with touratech, but have done business with them in the past: great service and a really nifty catalog. Lots of stuff not found anywhere else.

Hope this helps.

I got my ram mount from cyclegagets.com and am very happy. I got the mount that has two screws fitting into the handle bar controls - don't get the 3" extension - get the shorter one. - Ken

You can hard wire it, for sure. You'll need a power cable and a cable to plug into the stereo/intercom as an "aux" device. To run, say, sat. radio and gps and intercom at the same time, without all "talking" at once, you need some kind of interface device. I have a kennedy unit that integrates radio, intercom, radar, and gps. J&M makes one, and I imagine other makes and models are out there.

Touratech has cables, listed on one of the pages I linked to earlier, as do many other sources. Cyclegadgets, mentioned above, is a great place to buy and will give you top notch advice about what you need to do what you want to do, if you call them.

Major Cudo's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the info about Cyclegadgets.com!!!!!!!! I called them, very knowledgable, orrdered and were shipped in three days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bolted right on, love the Ramm mount!

Now I guess the only question is to where I will wire it up? If I can run the cable under the tank, I guess right to the battery terminals so its always hot?

thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

what I did

Any reason that I couldn't simply but a SAE hitch plug and plug it into the pigtail I have off of my battery for my battery tender?

Yes, it does, but that outlet is only hot when the key is on, was hoping to have the GPS hot so that I could manipulate the GPS without the bike running? I was thinking that if on a trip, and refueling, that would reset the GPS?

I not familiar with the model you have. I have a Garmin C340 and it can run on battery power for hours. When on the road I turn it on battery power make all of my input and once I turn the key it automatically switches to direct power and charge mode if the battery needs it. When I stop and shut off the bike, the GPS ask if I want to continue on battery by touching the screen otherwise it shuts itself off.
