I have been married since 1988 and I literally told my wife how many times I got arrested for fighting, dirnking, and basically told her all the bad crap that I ever did. I told her I didnt want her to be a bit surprised if she gets around my friends and heard things she couldnt believe. Well I have a pretty good wife, only problem is she doesnt like to communicate, at all, even stuff I really need to know. But I can honesty say she has never tried to change me, sometimes I wished she had.

This thread reminds me of a guy back home in TN, his mottos were:

how can you trust something that bleeds once a month and never dies and

women deserve the men they keep. It was amazing back home how many good looking women had asswholes for husbands/boyfriends.

I always vowed tho that if my marrieage were to ever end, it wouldnt happen a second time...

I haven't checked on if Bridget the midget is still around Wainwright or not....

Sounds like she would meet, at least a few of your criteria.........

She was well known around here, in the 80s & early 90s. Could supposedly, walk under the bar tabletops & zzzzzzzip.

I've been married since 1981. My wife has never tried to change me. Being as great a person as she is, she did change me, for the better. She is under the delusion I'm way better than I am, so I do my best to live up to it, but I'll never be as good as she thinks or deserves.

been there done that have the T shirt. Cept I got the house and the first choice of which car I wanted. Didn't have a bike back then.

My EX finally told me to chose between her and my toys. I chose wisely.

It sounds like you have chosen wisely also.

Hey boys, don't tar us all with the same brush

I've been married to Quickstep for 39 years next Saturday, and married him for who he is...not what I could change him in to. He was a long distance truck driver when I met him, as well as a bike rider. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and so I drove trucks and rode bikes :thumbsup2: Still married to a truck:bang head: We are total opposites in many ways, but have old fashion values.

And thank you mum, for raising me with these values, and for showing that you stand by your man...and go where your man goes.:clap2:

End of comment :big-grin-emoticon:

Guess I am one of the lucky ones too. Although she did try to change me in the beginning, but in the end decided to accept me for who I am. When I first decided to get back into motor bikes, She was not pleased. But now if its nice out and I leave the house without the motorbike she tells me it cried all the while I was gone and I had better make amends and take it out for a ride before the sun goes down. We have been together 32 years, she does her thing , I do my thing. and then we do our thing.

I told mine in the begining, I've never NOT had a bike of some sort, but I've been single lots of times, women cause nearly every problem I have and only my bike can make me forget them.

Boomer----Don't know much about you,but if you get to my neck of the woods,I could introduce you to a 26 yr old with 2 kids thats Bi and likes to ride.(real nice looking also) Told me the other day that she is tired of making out with same and asked when I would take her for a ride. LOL-- Not my type of beer. (wife wouldn't like it either.)

Just throwing it out there for you to know. :whistling::rotf:

Thanks but no thanks on that 26 year old.....There are loads of them around here and I fend them off all the time. At my age (60) I couldn't keep up with a 26 year old if my saddlebags were packed full of Viagra.....LOL.

Boomer....riding solo until the load of pygmies crosses the Border.

Hey Annie it ain't all !

It just seems that they want to make us into what they want, well a lot of us ain't having it.

Why aren't we acceptable for who and what we are.

Run away if we ain't what ya want, do both of us a favor, less problem in the long run.

Guys don't try to change you gals do they?

Oh well that is the difference between the sexes I guess.

Live and learn.

Now just why would she have to adorn the backseat of your bike? Why can't she have her own bike!!! Why is it you men assume that all we want to do is ride pillon?? I'm the rider in my family, not the hubby. Besides, why should the guys have all the toys?!?:D

There will be one who will adorn the backseat of that bike because they want to be there and you may need to ride more for them when you meet the right chick.

I hear ya Bro and my plans remain firm. I don't mind changes to make myself a better person but losing the scoot is NOT an option I will consider.

Yeah, I was introduced to a lady a while back and after some interesting conversation, she reached over and whispered in my ear that she was bi. I thought, this could get interesting, until I figured out what polar meant.

She could have one of her own if she wants but in her words she is to Damn clumsy and would rather be on the back seat. Trust me I would rather her on her own.
