BigBear Posted May 21, 2010 #1 Posted May 21, 2010 The wife and I are going to take a ride to Charlotte, NC (from Orlando), and I'm looking for scenic routes. We are planning on a 2-3 day ride up to Charlotte, spend a couple of days in the Charlotte area, then a 2-3 day ride back to FL, so we really aren't in a big hurry... So I'm asking the fine folks here for some route suggestions through GA, SC & NC. I prefer to use Interstates only as connectors (20-30 miles max)....everything else is fair game! Thanks!!
RandyR Posted May 21, 2010 #2 Posted May 21, 2010 Take US 441 to Athens Georgia, then Hwy 72 to Charlotte. Its an easy 2 day ride that way.
Mike G in SC Posted May 22, 2010 #3 Posted May 22, 2010 Figure a way that gets you to Hwy 301 above Jax to Ga, towards Allendale, SC. Then Hwy 321 towards Bamburg, thru Orangeburg, then catch Hwy 601 through my home town, Lugoff, SC. To Camden, SC to find Hwy 97 (you'll like this one, more twists than FL) towards Great Falls, SC, to Hwy 21, to Rock Hill. Then probably go ahead and jump on I-77 to Charlotte. Just some roads I have taken, and some I travel real regular. Mike G in SC
