Not sure what fix your looking for? I think for 2010 yamaha came out with another set of bars for the Vstar 1300 that were more comfortable.

I have not done it yet, but I read on the V Star 1300 forum that handlebars from a 2nd gen are a perfect fit, dont even have to replace any cables, it does stretch them to their limit but they do work. I do know that on the 2010 models they changed the handlebars to be closer to the rider...........

Before I switch from my 87 royale to this 07 1300 v star. what fix is there for the handle bars. new cables and breake lines.? Mike

dragon rider mentions 1300 v star forum. where is that.? I am 64 and shrinking and told the bars are too far away. thanks for the input. mike

Many have gone with RSTD bars or other after markets bars. I had the RSTD bars put on mine at the dealer before it had a mile on it, love them...

 

The RSTD bars do not require cable changes.
