It pays to keep alert

Wanted to pass on what happened to me on the way to work this morning and to show how much we have to watch out for those who dont pay attention to how they are driving...

 

I was in the middle lane (of course driving the speed limit) when a driver started pulling into my lane from the right, I let go with a blast of the airhorn (hee hee) and the olny responce was he covered his head with his hood... Not even a sorry nod or anything..

 

Please keep your eyes open when on the road.....

Loud horns are a godsend, I have seen several other members have to use theirs and scared the crap out of cagers

Looks like I will have to get a couple of those, one for the Venture, and one for the V Star.................or get 1 for each side of the bike and really make sure they hear me.......................

I am SO HAPPY that I installed an air horn. I've had to use it several times already this year. One time was downtown Vancouver last weekend. Guy was making a right turn from my right from the cross street. I had the green and he didn't even stop or look so I blasted the horn at him (he didn't cut me off coz I was on a one-way in the centre lane of a 3 laner) but I just wanted to wake him up... in doing so, I scared the crap outta the pedestrians crossing the street :rotf:

 

Had several occurences of folks attempting to change lanes into me that the air horn got their attention. I blasted one woman (her window was down) and she immediately rolled up her window (after going back into her lane) and when I pulled up beside her to give her a verbal blast, she wouldn't even look my way.

 

I LOVE this air horn ... dunno why I never had one before.
