NRA convention in Charlotte, NC

I woke up this morning and decided that I would go to the big city. What a great event! The sponsor dealers were fantastic and I saw all the new merchandise for firearms, scopes, lighting etc. This was a huge event and according to the Charlotte city people the largest event ever held in the city.

Must have been crazy traffic wise what with the new nascar hall of fame opening this week and being right next store. Sure wish I could have made it up that way.

I had read the write up for the NRA show in my American Rifleman magazine. I just could make it there. these are some big shows. and you get to see what's coming up from arms makers.

 

Was there any news concerning a commemorative model of the 1911 govm't model?

I've been to a number of NRA Anual Meetings and they have always been first class affairs. I highly recommend the Members Banquet too.

And the rep. said the msrp was $695. That puts it in the dealer at about $625.
