screamstone Posted May 12, 2010 #52 Posted May 12, 2010 Harley Road glide with a big trunk added on... LOVE that fixed fairing- rode one and loved it,too. other than that, prob a goldwing. Never rode one but renting one for 4 days this summer... I'll let you know Jul 31 if they're still in this order...
hunter 1500 Posted May 12, 2010 #53 Posted May 12, 2010 Suzuki C90. I had an 03 LC1500 and it was a great bike. Very nice riding position. Or maybe the C109.
SilvrT Posted May 12, 2010 #54 Posted May 12, 2010 Honda Wing - 13 Harley - 10 BMW - 9 Strat, Kaw Voyager & FJR tied - 4 (based on counting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices)
uechi kid Posted May 12, 2010 #55 Posted May 12, 2010 I would buy a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 and turn it into a bagger. In fact, before I found our RSV that's what I was going to do. Second choice would be a Gold Wing

uechi kid Posted May 12, 2010 #58 Posted May 12, 2010 Curious to know what made you change your mind? When I say the RSV I really liked the way it looked and all the features it had (cruise control, radio, intercom, CB, aux input and oh yeah cassette) . The price was what pushed us over the top. We picked it up new for $15,000. At the time I couldn't buy a used V2K and set it up for near that. And the cheapest Wing I found was $20,000 otd.
Freebird Posted May 12, 2010 #60 Posted May 12, 2010 OK...I've decided. I want this one but I want a trunk with integrated passenger backrest similar to the Venture or the Ultra Classic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FLA-CUSTOM-ROCKET-III-CORBIN-CONVERSION-AWESOME-L-K-/360260245322?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item53e12f174a
Sylvester Posted May 12, 2010 #62 Posted May 12, 2010 I would never own another Harley. My 2000 Ultra left me stranded five times in 8,000 miles. A Kawasaki may be good or a 1500 Gold Wing.
RedRaptor22 Posted May 12, 2010 #63 Posted May 12, 2010 Here is a Gold WIng I would like to own! Thats one clean bobber wing, every other one i've seen looks like a total hack job. Money objective? New FZ1 with hard bags, new KTM superduke with hard bags. Money not an object? New norton commando exactly they way it comes off the floor!
Yamaman Posted May 12, 2010 #64 Posted May 12, 2010 OK...I've decided. Add it to my list too. That one is SWEEEEEEEET!!!
hig4s Posted May 13, 2010 #65 Posted May 13, 2010 I don't think I could ever go back to an air cooled bike. I had a Kaw Ninja in 88 after that I went back to air cooled and carburated, with a Kaw ZR-7S, realized why I left the air cooled world.. And if I ever change from the Venture, it will need to be FI, getting tired of carbs.

Hulk Posted May 13, 2010 #69 Posted May 13, 2010 Can Am Spyder. Automatic version. hh Good call! Ditto
slick97spirit Posted May 13, 2010 #70 Posted May 13, 2010 getting tired of carbs. I feel the same occasionally, but the day they switch to FI is the day we have to start taking the sleds to the stealers to be worked on.....I like being able to take care of some of the issues myself.
Flyinfool Posted May 13, 2010 #72 Posted May 13, 2010 I already did make this choice, I got a 1st Gen....
YYZ Posted May 13, 2010 #73 Posted May 13, 2010 Same as you, Harley Street Glide maybe a Road King. mee three
Guest seuadr Posted May 13, 2010 #75 Posted May 13, 2010 i don't own a RSV, but i think, unless sitting on one makes me completly uncomfortable, i'd pull the trigger on a v-strom pretty quick.
