naturbar Posted May 9, 2010 #1 Posted May 9, 2010 the wife and i were taking a nice leisurely ride on a familiar road - make a left at the intersection - got a decent lean going and the front tire moves out from underneath me about 3-4 inches - i then realize new tar snakes - and about that time it slides again - very unnerving feeling to loose the front tire - wife said she thought we had a flat. i know i've recently seen other threads concerning these snakes - they work well for the DOT but wreak havoc on us bikers.....
RandyR Posted May 10, 2010 #2 Posted May 10, 2010 There are some otherwise beautiful twisty roads nearby here in Georgia which are filled with tar snakes. They are double bad when wet.
hunter 1500 Posted May 10, 2010 #3 Posted May 10, 2010 Them dang things will jump up and grab you if your not ready for them. Hot sunny day and rain are the worst. Gives you a pretty good pucker factor.
SilvrT Posted May 10, 2010 #4 Posted May 10, 2010 It's fun zig-zagging tar snakes while hot in a twisty!!
