Color01 Posted May 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2010 Its looks exactly as the stebel and wolo horn .. and maybe from the same manufacturer. Only a different name.
Flyinfool Posted May 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2010 The ad does say that these were made for another manufacturer that rejected them due to flaws in the chrome plating. So these are factory seconds. The Only problem with them is that they have cosmetic Flaws and scratches in The Chrome Plating and Finish so they where refused by the Manufacturer. But what the heck, for $30 and free shipping I may just add a second air horn. bongobobny Posted May 9, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 9, 2010 I just bought 2 of them... Might make nice door prizes at a M&E or rally!
Mike G in SC Posted May 9, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 9, 2010 I have a Stebil brand. This seems to be a decent "clone". Price (&free ship) is very good. The seller has good feedback. It has the relay & mount bolt/nut (but you should pick up an in-line 30 AMP fuse & heavy wire). You can pick up L-brackets at Lowes for a few bucks, 4 to a pack (just enlarge the holes). (But Carbon One makes a nicer one.) Biker Hiway is where I have bought if you want to see more detail and pricing. http://www.bikerhiway.com/motorcycle-horns-motorcycle-air-horns-c-244_287_247.html I think you found a good deal. YamaDuck Posted May 9, 2010 Share #6 Posted May 9, 2010 Thanks but no thanks. I'll buy the WOLO which has more chrome for only $14 more including shipping. As much money as these bikes accessories cost I don't mind the extra $$$ for 1st quality and more chrome. Thank you very much for the heads up though. bongobobny Posted May 12, 2010 Share #9 Posted May 12, 2010 Mine just came today, and they definately have flaws in the finish!! Looks like the plastic had the flaws and it really came out during the plating. They look fine though, and yes, they are the same as the Stebel and Wolo, and like the Stebel do not have the chrome cover over the top of the compressor... Overall I'm happy! RedRider Posted May 12, 2010 Share #10 Posted May 12, 2010 Just bought one to put on my KLR. Doesn't matter what the finish is like on a KLR - there isn't any chrome on it anyway. May have to spray paint it black. RR
GlennTuc Posted May 13, 2010 Share #11 Posted May 13, 2010 Bought one. Thanks. A cager from Florida in a pickup truck tried to kill me yesterday. My horn just wasn't loud enough, but I was too quick for him. Managed to dodge him. Glenn
